Brighton Julio Enciso Porto transfer talks have hit a roadblock, with the Seagulls rejecting the Portuguese side’s opening offer for the Paraguayan midfielder. Despite Enciso already agreeing personal terms with Porto, negotiations between the clubs are now at a reported impasse.
Enciso’s future has been under constant scrutiny since returning from his loan spell at Ipswich Town, and while Brighton appear open to a sale, they are holding firm on their valuation.
Enciso agrees terms, but Brighton push back on bid
Paraguayan journalist Andrés Rolón broke the news that Brighton turned down Porto’s initial approach for the 21-year-old, even though personal terms had already been finalised between Enciso and the Portuguese giants.

It’s now down to the clubs to find a breakthrough, but no fresh bid has been confirmed yet as Porto weigh their next move.
Is Enciso Still in Brighton’s Plans? Signs Suggest Not
Enciso spent the latter half of last season at Ipswich Town, where he featured sporadically. His comments since returning to the Amex suggest uncertainty over his role in new manager Fabian Hürzeler’s long-term project.
With Brighton facing a midfield reshuffle this summer and prioritising other areas of development, selling Enciso could still suit all parties — if Porto up their offer.
“I’m still waiting to see what Brighton want. I’m open to options,” said Enciso recently. — Julio Enciso

What’s Next for Brighton and Enciso?
With Enciso open to leaving and Porto pushing, a second bid is likely — but Brighton want full value for the Paraguay international. If no agreement is found soon, other clubs may enter the race. Brighton’s midfield overhaul could still make a summer exit inevitable.

Porto used to be the club to get all these top South American young talents, seems like Brighton has taken over.
