Tottenham Hotspur have received a major boost in their pursuit of Eli Junior Kroupi, with the Bournemouth forward reportedly preferring a move to north London over Paris Saint-Germain.

The highly-rated striker is understood to favour regular first-team football rather than competing for minutes behind PSG's established attacking stars, leaving Spurs in a strong position to complete one of their priority summer signings.

Kroupi prefers Tottenham move

According to TEAMtalk, Kroupi has decided Tottenham would be the best destination for the next stage of his career.

The 20-year-old believes he has a clearer pathway to regular football under Roberto De Zerbi than he would at PSG, where competition for places remains fierce.

As a result, the French champions have reportedly shifted their focus elsewhere.

PSG are now said to be progressing in negotiations for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres after reaching an agreement on personal terms with the Spain international.

That development leaves Tottenham with a significant advantage in the race for Kroupi.

De Zerbi wants another attacking signing

Kroupi has emerged as one of De Zerbi's priority targets as Tottenham continue an ambitious rebuild.

Spurs have already spent more than £230 million this summer, breaking their transfer record twice.

The arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Jan Paul van Hecke, Martin Dúbravka, Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson have transformed the squad, but Tottenham are still looking to strengthen in attack.

A striker and a left-sided forward remain key priorities before the transfer window closes.

More attacking targets remain on Spurs' shortlist

Football Place understands Manchester City's Savinho remains a target after Tottenham failed to sign the Brazilian last summer.

AC Milan winger Rafael Leão has also been linked, while Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo continues to be mentioned as another possible option.

For now, Kroupi appears to be the player Tottenham are pushing hardest to sign, with the striker reportedly making it clear where he wants his future to be.
