Inter Milan could reignite their interest in Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence if Roma complete a move for Luis Henrique before the transfer window closes.
According to reports in Italy, Roma have opened talks over signing the Brazilian winger from Inter, with both the player and the Nerazzurri reportedly receptive to a deal. Inter are believed to value Luis Henrique at around €30 million, and his departure could provide the funds needed to strengthen Cristian Chivu's squad elsewhere.
Spence back on Inter's shortlist
Sky Sport Italia reports that Tottenham full-back Djed Spence has re-emerged as one of Inter's leading targets.
A move for Al-Ittihad winger Moussa Diaby is still considered difficult, while Juventus' Nico Gonzalez remains an alternative option. Spence, however, is viewed as a realistic candidate, although Tottenham are reportedly seeking €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
Inter hope the asking price could fall as the transfer deadline approaches, particularly if Spurs become more willing to negotiate.
More reinforcements still required
Even if Spence arrives, Inter's work in the market would not be complete.
The Italian club are still searching for another wide player following Denzel Dumfries' departure, while Carlos Augusto has increasingly been used as cover in central defence rather than at left wing-back.
That leaves Inter needing additional depth on the left side as they prepare for another demanding campaign across multiple competitions.
There has also been a positive development regarding Benjamin Pavard.
The French defender, who had previously been linked with a move away, is now reportedly expected to remain at San Siro after adopting a more positive stance over his role in the squad. Although Inter would still consider suitable offers, his stay is now viewed as a genuine possibility.
