Cristhian Mosquera Arsenal transfer 2025 talks have stalled — and the Spanish defender could now be left in limbo.

Valencia rejected Arsenal’s opening €15m bid for the highly-rated centre-back earlier this week, and the Gunners have shown no interest in returning with an improved offer.

The 21-year-old has already turned down a contract extension at Mestalla and urged the club to negotiate his sale. But unless Mikel Arteta’s side increase their bid soon, Mosquera’s dream move may collapse entirely.

According to Superdeporte, Arsenal are “not willing to extend their hand”. That’s despite Mosquera being under contract until 2026 — and actively pushing for a move to the Premier League.

Valencia want €20–25m depending on the source, but Arsenal’s bid has remained stuck at €15m. Talks have gone quiet, and Valencia insiders say the Gunners are now risking the whole deal falling apart.

Mosquera is seen as a high-upside ball-playing centre-back, already impressing for Spain’s U21s. Standing at 6ft 2in, the Colombia-born defender has become a mainstay in Rubén Baraja’s setup, known for calm distribution and strong reading of play.

He made 33 appearances for Valencia in all competitions last season.

Arsenal’s reluctance to meet Valencia’s price shows their growing reputation for financial control — but it risks damaging relationships with clubs and players.

Mosquera’s situation highlights the danger of contract stand-offs without guarantees. Having rejected a renewal, he’s now stuck between two doors: one locked by Arsenal, the other closed by Valencia.

Talks may resume later this week if Mosquera’s agent pressures Valencia into a compromise. But unless Arsenal shift their stance, the player risks being frozen out just months before the new season begins.
