Cole Palmer has returned to training with Chelsea for the first time since suffering a muscular injury, giving the club a massive boost ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur in just six days.

The 22-year-old playmaker had been sidelined since his injury, sparking concerns that he would miss the upcoming showdown with Spurs. However, Palmer was spotted at Cobham on Friday, participating in training and signaling that he could be fit in time to feature against Tottenham.

The injury had kept Palmer out of Chelsea's recent 1-0 loss to Arsenal nearly two weeks ago, and he was also unavailable for England's World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is also bolstered by the return of striker Nicolas Jackson, who has been out of form but is now back in action. Jackson's presence will provide Palmer with a focal point in attack, potentially boosting his numbers in the coming games. Palmer, despite a dip in form, remains a key figure in Chelsea's ambitions to finish in the top four this season.

Palmer has started every Premier League match for Chelsea this season, except for the defeat at Arsenal. His performances have been impressive, with the young forward scoring 14 goals and registering 6 assists in 28 premier league games for Chelsea. Palmer has also created 42 chances for his teammates, the most in the Premier League this season. His contributions were pivotal earlier in the season, especially in Chelsea’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Spurs, where Palmer scored twice, including a memorable Panenka penalty.

With Chelsea currently sitting in fourth place, Palmer's return to fitness is crucial as they push for a Champions League spot. His creative output and goal-scoring ability will be key as Chelsea looks to bounce back and secure a positive result against Tottenham.
