Crystal Palace have opened talks with Club Brugge over forward Christos Tzolis as they prepare for the possibility of losing Eberechi Eze this summer, according to The Athletic.

The 23-year-old Greek international enjoyed a breakout season in Belgium, scoring 21 goals and providing 16 assists across all competitions. Palace see him as a dynamic attacking option capable of filling the creative void should Eze depart Selhurst Park in the coming weeks.

Eze has been linked with a move to several Premier League rivals and European clubs, and Palace are keen not to be left scrambling for a replacement late in the window. Securing Tzolis, who previously spent time in England with Norwich City, would give Oliver Glasner’s side proven end product and versatility across the front line.

Why Palace Want Tzolis

Tzolis’ ability to operate both as a winger and a secondary striker makes him an attractive target for Palace. His productivity in Belgium demonstrates how far he has developed since leaving Norwich, where he struggled to adapt to the Premier League.

Palace’s scouting reports highlight his dribbling, sharp finishing, and set-piece threat as key qualities that could soften the blow of losing Eze.

Analyst Verdict

From reviewing his season in Belgium, Tzolis looks transformed compared to his Norwich spell. His decision-making in the final third has improved, and he now combines raw pace with end product.

For Palace, this is a proactive move — not just insurance in case Eze leaves, but also a chance to strengthen their overall attacking depth. If they land Tzolis, they’ll be adding one of Europe’s most improved young forwards.

Key Insights

  • Palace approach Club Brugge for Christos Tzolis.
  • Move linked to potential Eberechi Eze exit.
  • Tzolis produced 21 goals + 16 assists in 2024/25.
  • Ex-Norwich man could return to the Premier League.

What’s Next

Talks with Brugge are expected to continue this week, though no fee has been reported yet. Palace’s ability to close a deal may depend on Eze’s situation, with the club reluctant to sell without lining up a replacement.

Should Eze stay, Palace may still pursue Tzolis as competition in attack, though his price tag could rise if more clubs enter the race.

Should Palace cash in on Eze and trust Tzolis to replace his creativity — or fight to keep their star playmaker?

He was so bad at Norwich back then, but still very young, crazy stats, crazy season. This would be a good fit tbh!
