Chelsea defeat to Newcastle raises concerns for Rosenior in top four race

At Stamford Bridge against Newcastle, the team struggled to create decisive moments despite controlling the match territorially.

The defeat also extended a concerning trend on home soil, with Chelsea now dropping points in three consecutive league games at Stamford Bridge.

Pre match discussion centred heavily on Chelsea’s goalkeeping situation after Rosenior rotated between Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen in recent weeks.

In this match, Jorgensen was unavailable due to a groin injury, allowing Sanchez to return to the starting lineup.

While Newcastle created relatively few chances, the Spanish goalkeeper produced important saves from Jacob Ramsey and Gordon when called upon.
