Scott Parker says he’s happy with Burnley’s pre-season progress after watching his side draw 1–1 with Wolves in a training match held in the Algarve.

Jacob Bruun Larsen struck in the second half to cancel out Jørgen Strand Larsen’s opener for Wolves. Burnley used the friendly to rotate the full squad, with two near-complete XIs named either side of the break.

The Clarets looked sharp during an intense first half, with Jaydon Banel forcing a solid double-save from Sam Johnstone after some crisp interplay involving Kyle Walker and Luca Koleosho.

But it was Wolves who struck first, just before half-time, as Strand Larsen pounced from close range.

Burnley responded after the restart. On 65 minutes, Quilindschy Hartman rose to nod a deep cross into Bruun Larsen’s path, and the Danish forward converted with a confident half-volley.
