Breno Bidon transfer hint puts Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd on alert

Breno Bidon has openly admitted that playing in Europe and competing in the Champions League is part of his long-term ambition, as Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United continue to monitor the Corinthians midfielder.

In a brief interview with TNT Sports Brazil, the 20-year-old did not disguise his aspirations. While he stopped short of pushing for an immediate transfer, his direction of travel was unmistakable.

Chelsea are understood to have tested Corinthians’ resolve with an offer reported in Brazil at around €20m (£17m). That figure was considered well below the Brazilian club’s expectations.

Arsenal and Manchester United have both made enquiries but have yet to move beyond preliminary discussions. Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been credited with scouting the midfielder, though those links remain at observation stage rather than negotiation.

Corinthians’ internal valuation is believed to sit significantly higher. Some outlets in Brazil claim talks would only begin around €30m (£25.5m), while others suggest the price could rise towards €35m-€40m depending on structure and bonuses.

Despite the growing European noise, Corinthians have consistently signalled that January was never a realistic exit point. Club officials prefer a summer sale at the earliest, citing development and competitive balance.

Having followed similar Brazilian-to-Europe pathways in recent seasons, timing often proves decisive. Corinthians are aware that sustained minutes in domestic competition could further elevate Bidon’s market value.

For Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, the message is clear. The door is not closed, but it will open on Corinthians’ terms.

Corinthians are unlikely to accelerate discussions before the end of the domestic season. Interested clubs will continue monitoring performances and development.

If Bidon maintains his trajectory, competition could intensify ahead of the summer window. Much will depend on whether any suitor is prepared to meet the valuation closer to €35m.
