Arsenal produced a commanding 4-0 win over Ipswich Town on Sunday, keeping the pressure on Liverpool in the Premier League title race. With goals from Gabriel Martinelli and a brace from Leandro Trossard, the Gunners made light work of their visit to Portman Road.
Mikel Arteta fielded a strong XI with some rotations, and it paid off with a high-tempo, clinical performance. The manager was particularly impressed by the opening 35 minutes and how well his side controlled the game.
Mikel Arteta Reaction: Injury Update on Bukayo Saka
Bukayo Saka, who provided an assist and was heavily involved in the action, took a knock but Arteta confirmed post-match that the injury doesn’t appear serious:
"I didn’t see the tackle, it was quite fast. You have to watch it, it’s a good decision from the referee. He’s in a bit of pain but thankfully it doesn’t look anything too serious."
On the Match vs Ipswich
"Really happy with that performance, especially the way we started the game with 11 v 11. The first 35 minutes were exceptional. We scored two and could have scored three or four. After the sending off the game changed.
We controlled the game well, we lacked a bit of threat but scored two good goals. We rotated players, rested players — so a good afternoon. There are a lot of positives today from the game."
Trossard and Squad Belief
Leandro Trossard, who netted twice, also shared his thoughts after the win:
"It is important for ourselves. We don’t need to look at them [Liverpool]; we just have to keep going like this and take it game by game. We want to win every game but we know how tough it is in the league."
"We are there for a reason. We’ve been doing very well in the Champions League too. We have to keep believing."

They can keep dreaming, not happening (again) this season. Liverpool will be champions. Despite being 2e in the league, Arsenal has done well. They played a lot of time without a striker and had some issues with injuries.
