Saka Set to Become Arsenal’s Top Earner with New Long-Term Deal
Arsenal are preparing a contract extension that would make Bukayo Saka the highest-paid player in the club’s history, as they look to secure the future of one of their most important stars.
The 23-year-old winger, who recently returned from a hamstring injury, has continued to prove his worth on the pitch this season. Now, the Gunners are keen to reflect his value off the pitch too, reportedly preparing a £300,000-a-week offer to keep him at the Emirates for the long term.
Saka is currently earning around £195,000 per week, placing him behind the likes of Kai Havertz (£280,000), Gabriel Jesus, and Martin Ødegaard. The new deal would leapfrog him to the top of Arsenal’s wage structure — and possibly put him close to the record-breaking figure once paid to Mesut Özil.
Despite only signing a long-term contract in 2023, the club’s new sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be eager to finalize an improved deal before the summer transfer window. Manager Mikel Arteta has also been vocal about Saka’s long-term importance, citing his deep roots at the club and his unwavering commitment.
There is no suggestion of Saka considering a move away, with reports indicating he remains fully focused on winning major trophies with the club he joined at age six. Saka himself recently stated that he "wants to win wearing this badge," further reassuring fans of his loyalty.
| Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premier League | 30 | 13 | 9 |
| UEFA Champions League | 9 | 3 | 2 |
| FA Cup | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Total | 40 | 16 | 11 |
Saka’s contributions this season continue to underscore his role as the heartbeat of Arteta’s side. His 16 goals and 11 assists in 40 appearances across competitions place him among the Premier League’s elite creators, justifying both his status and the financial package Arsenal are reportedly ready to offer.
With no indications of him wanting a move, and the club keen to lock him down long-term, the future between Saka and Arsenal looks set to continue — and on significantly upgraded terms.

Havertz and Gabriel wow, they've got the best negotiating agents.. Saka still earns a lot but what would change in life if he even gets more?
