Ange Postecoglou Tottenham manager 2025 future hangs in the balance as the club prepares for a crucial decision this week. Despite delivering Europa League glory with a 1-0 win over Manchester United, Postecoglou’s second season in North London saw Spurs sink to an all-time low in the Premier League, finishing 17th with a record 22 defeats—more than any other side without being relegated. Chairman Daniel Levy faces a defining call: stick with Postecoglou, who still has two years left on his contract, or seek a fresh start amid growing pressure. The Telegraph reports that Spurs are ready to make their decision within days, with Thomas Frank, Marco Silva, Andoni Iraola, and Oliver Glasner all in the frame as potential successors.

Postecoglou Faces Sack Decision After Record-Breaking Season

Postecoglou’s time at Tottenham has been a rollercoaster. His side lifted the Europa League trophy but endured a historically bad Premier League campaign, leaving fans and club officials split over whether to back the Australian boss or pursue change.

“Tottenham will make a final decision on Postecoglou’s future this week,” reports The Telegraph.

Despite the silverware, some within the club are said to expect a managerial change, with Postecoglou holding the second-worst points-per-game record of his managerial career at 1.53.

Tottenham Managerial Shortlist for 2025

Tottenham’s potential replacements include familiar Premier League names:

Manager Current Club
Thomas Frank Brentford
Marco Silva Fulham
Andoni Iraola Bournemouth
Oliver Glasner Crystal Palace

Tottenham’s Tough Decision: Stick or Twist?

Daniel Levy faces a huge dilemma: keep faith with Postecoglou despite a disastrous league campaign, or bring in a new face to stabilise the club. Postecoglou’s win rate stands at just 46% (47 wins, 14 draws, 40 losses from 101 games), but he has ended Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought with a European triumph. Compensation would be costly, as Postecoglou still has two years remaining on his deal.

“For me, it’s about what’s best for the football club,” Postecoglou said earlier this season.

None of these listed managers has proven at a "big" club. I feel for Ange, he's a great lad, won the EL. He has bad luck with injuries during the season.
